Schedule I banks, credit unions, and private lenders rely on Alex for practical, commercially grounded advice on financing transactions, from commitment through closing. With a background in accounting, finance, and private equity, she brings a business-minded perspective to lending matters, reading a deal the way her clients do and drawing on a strong understanding of financial covenants, lending structures, and the commercial realities they face. Known for her attentiveness and clear communication, Alex helps clients navigate complex transactions by identifying issues early and ensuring matters progress smoothly.

Her practice focuses on secured lending and financing transactions across a broad range of credit arrangements, including real estate and construction financings, term loans, mortgage-backed and asset-based lending (ABL), and other secured credit facilities. Her work includes preparing and negotiating commitment letters, credit agreements, loan documentation, inter-lender agreements, and priority arrangements, as well as advising on PPSA-related issues and complex lending structures. She also works closely with the firm's insolvency and restructuring group on credit bids and receiver-led sale transactions.

Alex holds Juris Doctors from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law through their joint J.D. program, and a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
