At Chaitons, we are deeply committed to the growth and success of our students. Our student programs are thoughtfully structured to provide hands-on experience, meaningful mentorship and exposure to complex and rewarding legal work.

Students at Chaitons play an integral role on files from day one, working closely with experienced lawyers across multiple commercial practice areas including our Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring, Corporate Law, Commercial Real Estate and Financial Services groups. Through ongoing professional development, practical training, and direct client interaction, our students gain the skills and confidence needed to thrive in their legal careers.

Chaitons’ Summer Student Program runs from early May to the end of August. Our Articling Student Program commences in early August and runs for a ten-month term.

Chaitons adheres to the Law Society of Ontario’s student recruitment guidelines. We accept summer and articling student applications in accordance with the timelines established by the Law Society for positions in the City of Toronto. Refer to the Law Society’s website for the current recruitment timelines.

If you are interested in a summer or articling student position with Chaitons, we welcome your application and look forward to receiving your cover letter, resumé, undergraduate and law school transcripts, a list of upper-year courses, and references. Please submit your application through the viLaw Portal during the applicable recruitment sessions.
