Eva is a leading and influential force in mortgage enforcement law. A partner at Chaitons LLP and head of the Residential Mortgage Enforcement Department, she specializes in mortgage remedies for financial institutions, representing a broad range of both national and international banks as well as other financial institutions. She is highly respected for her experience and skill in standardizing mortgage enforcement practices and procedures, client documentation and reporting systems.

Eva obtained a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1975 before going on to earn her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1978. While there she received the Thomas Cowper Robinette Award. Called to the Bar in Ontario in 1980, Eva has been the recipient of the Day, Wilson, Campbell Commercial & Company Law Award.  Eva joined Chaitons LLP following a successful career as in-house counsel to a major Canadian manufacturer.

In addition to conducting seminars for her clients on mortgage enforcement, Eva’s specialized expertise makes her a popular and in-demand speaker at legal and financial industry conferences. Eva has also written numerous articles on the rights and remedies of mortgage lenders. Whenever possible, she gives her time to charitable endeavours such as the Gems of Hope.
