An associate at Chaitons LLP, Gillian’s practice focuses on contractual claims, shareholder remedies, and real estate, construction and banking litigation including debtor/creditor disputes. She has both trial and Court of Appeal experience. Gillian acts for financial institutions, both small and mid-sized corporations, real estate developers and receivers.
After graduating with distinction with a degree in Psychology from Western University, Gillian went on to Osgoode Hall Law School where she completed her LL.B. in 2008. During law school Gillian volunteered with the Family Law Project of Pro Bono Students of Canada. She also held the position of Vice President of the Jewish Law Students Association. Gillian was subsequently called to the Bar in Ontario in 2009.
Gillian’s passion for the law extends outside of the office. She is a founding member and past secretary of Young Women in Law, a not-for-profit organization created to encourage and promote the interests of young female lawyers. Gillian is fluent in both French and English.
