An associate at Chaitons LLP, Michael practices in the areas of commercial litigation and insolvency law. He joined the firm after completing his articles with Chaitons LLP.
After completing an honours bachelor degree in business administration at Trent University in 2009, Michael went on to obtain his J.D. at the University of Western Ontario. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2014.
Michael constantly takes advantage of opportunities to expand his expertise. During law school, he worked as a research assistant, focusing on commercial and insolvency law. He has assisted in writing publications on insolvency, corporate restructuring and secured transactions, including the annotated Personal Property Security Act. Michael also co-founded the Chaitons LLP Corporate Restructuring Advocacy Competition, a moot where students advocate corporate restructuring issues that have arisen in noteworthy court decisions.
