Sherri’s principal practice area is real estate area, with a particular emphasis on commercial real estate.
Client Types
Sherri represents private and public company developers (both Canadian and U.S. based), REITs, equity and opportunity fund lenders and financial institutions. Her clients include developers of condominium (including fractional) subdivision and co-ownership projects, healthcare facilities and hotels. Sherri also acts as counsel to both borrowers and lenders in connection with mezzanine, construction and permanent financing transactions, as well as purchasers and vendors of development lands, retirement residences, nursing homes, office towers, apartment buildings, shopping malls, commercial/industrial buildings, hotels/motels and mortgage portfolios.
Education
Obtained her B.A. from University of Western Ontario in Art History and Criticism and earned her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007.
Year of Call
After working as an articling student at Chaitons in 2007, Sherri was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2008.
